We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Level 2 Transport Coordinator Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop key skills in traffic operations, planning, and resource management while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced transport environment.

As a TC Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day operation of our transport activities, helping to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant movement of vehicles and goods. This apprenticeship is a fantastic starting point for anyone looking to build a long-term career in the transport and logistics industry.

You will receive full training and support to become competent in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities

Compliance and Safety

• Work in line with current transport legislation and company procedures

• Help maintain the health, safety, and security of people, vehicles, and goods at all times

Documentation and Instructions

• Prepare and provide clear documents and instructions for colleagues in a timely manner

• Use technology and operational systems to support daily transport activities

Maintenance Support

• Follow the vehicle maintenance schedule, making sure vehicles are cleaned and delivered to workshops.

• Work with colleagues to support both planned and unplanned maintenance requirements

Route Planning

• Support the planning of safe and efficient delivery routes, considering time and fuel efficiency

Qualifications

We do not require applicants to already hold Grade 4 (or above) in English and Maths. However, the successful candidate will be required to work towards these qualifications as part of the apprenticeship if not already achieved.

• Sorting, loading and unloading waste skips as necessary, working with delivery vehicles both tipping and removing waste, loading of a conveyor belt for waste sorting.
General yard tidying and skip moving will also be required, among other duties.
