🌿 How do I make my own compost at home?

If you’re inspired to get started with composting, here are some simple tips to help you succeed:

  • Balance your materials: Aim for a mix of “greens” (fruit and vegetable scraps, grass clippings) and “browns” (dry leaves, grass, shredded paper/cardboard).
  • Keep it aerated: Turn your compost regularly to introduce oxygen and speed up decomposition.
  • Watch moisture levels: Your compost should be damp - not too wet or too dry.
  • Chop materials smaller: Smaller pieces break down faster and more evenly.
