Trying out new products at the Saltex Exhibition

Nov 08 in Plant and tool hire & shops

Plant Managers, Jason Southam and Steve Keene attended Saltex Exhibition last week at the NEC in Birmingham.

Saltex is the UK’s national event for grounds care, sports, amenities, estates and green space management. From turf care and specialist machinery to landscaping and playgrounds, over 290 exhibitors brought the latest products.

The main purpose of their visit was to visit the Makita and Stihl stands to see the cordless garden tools they manufacture, with a view to possibly stocking them for sale in our depots. These tools are especially useful for tradesmen working around commercial properties where noise pollution is an issue, i.e. using strimmers around an office building.

Steve Keene explains more about the purpose of their visit: “Being heavily geared towards grounds-care, Saltex had many trade stands with landscaping equipment, i.e. chippers, aerators, turf cutters and it gave us both the opportunity to see the latest makes and models. We were so impressed by the Camon BC65 scarifiers that Tracmaster has just added to their range of C10 and C13 2-wheel tractors. We were so impressed that we purchased one as an addition to our hire fleet.”
