It’s Environmental Week at Eton College and today, Shorts Group were invited to spend time with staff and students to talk waste management and recycling processes over lunch.
Shorts were joined by Eton College’s Building Officer Paul Bayley and Kerri Hicks who are driving the ‘environmental message’ among the etonians.
Jordan Short, Project Coordinator and Joanna Defty, Marketing Manager from Shorts hosted the environmental talk, and food waste recycling was top of the agenda.
Eton College is undergoing a trial of recycling their food waste in their restaurants – where they serve over 600 hundred students per day, with the longer-term aim of rolling it out across Eton’s property portfolio. Shorts already collect food waste from a number of restaurants and schools throughout Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire.
