Gary, Michelle and Bryony Short took to the skies last as special guests to the JCB Factory.
Personally invited by host James Richardson, Managing Director of Greenshields JCB. The day started with a helicopter collection service from Shorts Agricultural premises- Planners Farm, direct to their factory in Staffordshire.
The invitation was on the back of our latest investment of five new JCB machines for our Plant Hire division, as well as a special treat to celebrate Shorts 60th birthday.
The best part of the day for Bryony Short, Commercial Business Manager was seeing the production line, as she explains: “We saw the assembly areas for the telehandlers and the traditional backhoe loaders. What was great about the process was that the majority of the components are made within the UK and bought in to make each individual machine. It is a very time sensitive operation to keep up with current demand, as this factory supplies some of the global markets.”
“JCB is also a family run business and we have enjoyed dealing with them in the past and look forward to purchasing more JCBs in the future.” Said Bryony.
